Billy Blue Great Value Graduation Exhibition 2009

My latest AS3.0 project.

This website has been realized utilizing the OOP design pattern MVC (Model View Controller) and features a content filter system. Users browsing the page through the navigation menu trigger the filter system to take effect on the content panel.

Dendron – Social Network Visualization

Dendron, my third OOP project. This time written in AS3.0 and part of an individual uni assignment. The objective was to visualize a social network in 3D space. The user is able to browse profile nodes in two ways:

  1. through a traditional 2D navigation menu, which filters profiles according to search preferences

  2. by moving inside a 3D environment and directly selecting parenting and child nodes.

  • AS3.0

  • OOP and observer design pattern

Elysium & Hades – Fighting Game

Second OOP project. Aim has been to create a functional two players fighting game.

techniques utilized:

  • green screen video shoot & keying
  • retouching and animating
  • frame rate reduction (6fps)
  • action script 2.0 OOP

The team working on this game agreed on creating a second version of Elysium & Hades.

Objectives for V2:

  • learning from previous mistakes
  • speeding up work flows
  • utilizing AS3.0 OOP design patterns to speed up the application
  • refining overall look and feel including sounds
  • increasing positive game experience through well defined movements & actions

My first OOP project. This website has been designed and created for a Sydney based photographer. Aim was to create a minimalistic and functional flash online portfolio, which is easy to update.
